CONDOS

Condos are hot in Portland

In 2004 the average price of a condo in the Portland metro area was $183,800, a figure that jumped an impressive 27.2% in one year, bringing the 2005 average to $233,800. In the burgeoning Pearl District and Downtown new condos are reaching prices of $500 per square foot. Condo conversions (conversion of an existing apartment building) are plentiful and, with per square foot prices in the $300s, are an attractive, affordable option.
