About
The residents of Mt. Scott-Arleta (PDF map) built a wall on the corner of SE 72nd Avenue and SE Woodstock Boulevard. It’s not a wall to keep people out of their close-knit, charming community, but one to welcome visitors and provide a place for neighbors to meet. With the help of Mt. Scott-Arleta Neighborhood Repair Project residents built cob structures and benches as a testament to the ethic of sustainability so evident in this progressive community.
Mt. Scott Park, with its lofty firs, and the adjacent Mt. Scott Pool provide respite on hot days, while residents can find community any time of year in one of the neighborhood’s friendly coffeeshops or restaurants. Families will find all of their needs met in this kid-friendly neighborhood.

Library
For the second year in a row, Multnomah County Library is ranked number two in Hennen's American Public Library Ratings (HAPLR), which rates U.S. public libraries serving populations over 500,000.
Mt. Scott-Arleta is served by the Holgate branch (7905 SE Holgate Blvd.) of the Multnomah County Library.

Neighborhood Organizations
Mt. Scott-Arleta Neighborhood Association meets the first Wednesday of every month at 6:30PM at Mt. Scott Community Center (5530 SE 72nd Ave.).
Southeast Uplift Neighborhood Program is a non-profit association of twenty neighborhoods in Southeast and Northeast (south of Interstate 84) Portland. For over thirty years, Southeast Uplift has been involved in community development and urban planning.
